Dark Souls: Capra Demon

Oh no everyone look out here comes another guide for another optional boss (I say optional because you I'm pretty sure you can skip him don't take that as my word i'm 50 hours in and don't remember the items i got from the very beginning NOW)

Now when you meet this guy here it will be after you beat the Bell Gargoyle and get the key to lower Undead Parish (now there is another way to get down there but I always got the key from the Gargoyle.) Now going down through the Lower Burg is harder than expected, there are dogs there that causes bleeding...or was it poison? Either way the dogs are pretty obnoxious they hit you twice and when you swing they'll dodge and it gets pretty annoying, but once they're dead if you walk forward some undead assassins will pop out and they cause bleeding plus they have very strong parry and backstabs so be careful. On the plus side when they are dead and if you go back the way you came but go to the left there is a door a NPC is behind and he is very good to help. He is Griggs of Vinheim he, who after a bit of time, will go to Firelink and you will be able to buy spells and catalysts from him so very good for any mage character.

Now if you head further back there will be some undead torch carriers who attack in groups as well but once you kill them there will be a dead body with a Twin humanity on it. Now when you head back the correct way there will be some more dogs and undead assassins and in one of the houses guess what, there is some assassin armor for someone who decides to be an assassin. Further down the path there is a fog gate and on the other side is you guessed it the Capra Demon.

When you first enter the area he will charge at you and you will need to get out of the way of his heavy attack but thats not all there are two undead dogs with him and being in such a tiny area makes fighting three things at once difficult. Now the guide says to run past them up the stairs and camp it out on the arch, but that doesn't work because the Capra demon glitches up the stairs and if you aren't on the archway in the exact spot his attacks will still hit you from under you.

Now the way I did it was roll into his attack which makes him miss and then swing with my drake sword and  killed the dogs at the same time while hitting the demon, once the dogs are dead the demon is fairly easy you can block all his attacks but it will eat up your stamina very badly and if you get hit by his two handed slam attack that will destroy your stamina and take out a chunk of health, Here is a big hint though he is weak to electricity if you were able to get the Gold Pine Resin from the house in the Undead burg either with the key you buy from the merchant or by using the Master Key you get as a main item you should be good to go."

Once he's dead there is a chance he will drop this:

The Demon Great Machete its not all that great it is very strong though but with great power comes a need for great strength if I remember correctly you need either 32 or 40 strength to use this weapon. Now don't be disappointed if you don't get it because (WARNING: SPOILER BEYOND THIS POINT.) there are more capra demons down in blighttown its passed the area you fight Quelaag. Once you kill the Ceaseless Discharge the lave will harden and you will be able to make your way to where the Capra demons are but don't worry they are just MINOR Capra Demons a little weaker and they still have a chance to drop this weapon, so there you are enjoy your souls and enjoy your new weapon...possibly.
